I've been very busy writing application essays so I haven't had any time to update this. The idea for this one came while I was listening to "Santeria" by Sublime, however this is not based on it. This is actually a song I wrote in the key of B (I think). Stanzas 1, 2, 4 & 5 are the verses and 3 and 6 are the pre-choruses. The chorus is an instrumental section. The last 3 stanzas are the bridge section. There's an outro bit too but it's just one line repeated over and over and would look somewhat stupid if I put it in here.
Hey little angel, will you help me out today?
I need to find a bus for I have lost my way.
Guide me little angel and I will pay you well,
While you take me there girl, about me I will tell.
Hey little darling, when I did share your years,
My mother didn't love me but I did have no fears.
For many did love me, they showed that they did care,
I repaid them in kind, and gave them heaven there.
And now we're under the bridge, I must tell you true
I knew my way all this while but lost it for you
I will show you heaven like the hundred 'fore thee
I would have joined you there but heaven won't have me
My little doll, I will save you here tonight,
And you won't have to suffer this world's endless plight.
It's time you went to heaven and I showed you love,
It's time you joined the other hundred stars above.
I have taught you well babe and here I pay you back,
Don't worry, your innocence none can now attack;
The night is still but young and I've loved you a lot,
But when morning comes, I will end your worldly plot.
I'll ignite your bones here and send you far away,
But I will remember ... your folks shall know this way.
Hush, no one can hear us, we're alone as can be,
I can't join you up there, for heaven won't have me.
And I remember, where I did teach her well;
I trust that myself, only I saved her from hell;
I was both an animal and a God that day,
I gave her blessed life and took it all away.
And I did no wrong, I did what I felt was right,
I used love and caring to lead her to the light;
Goodbye cruel world, I heard her parting whispers,
I remembered all of their final parting whimpers.
They won't have to see their mothers full of love,
They won't have to cry if their fathers live above,
They won't be telling lies cos they can't be alone,
They'll never live on the streets, they have found their home.
